ACCOUNTING SERVICES SENIOR/SUPERVISOR

Accounting Services Senior/Supervisor

Senior Accountant with 3-7 years experience to work with client base around the New York Metro area.

  • Prepare financial statements, GAAP knowledge for review level f/s
  • Tax preparation for individuals and closely held businesses, g/l maintenance, sales and payroll taxes
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel a must
  • Prior experience with Epace and FastTax software a plus.
  • BS/BBA in Accounting, CPA license, strong time management and communication skills are required

Administration

WORD PROCESSING SUPERVISOR

Responsible for overall co-management of Word Processing Department firm wide, including operations.

Primary Duties:

  1. Service internal clients' word processing needs to include correspondence and engagement letters
  2. Review, assess, and set policies and procedures; set guidelines to follow for financial procedures and enforce policies
  3. Supervise word processing staff from hiring, training, evaluation, termination
  4. Update and manage Intranet, master of index of forms, 45 day financial statement log with checklist to close documents
  5. Set Edgar Alerts in motion
  6. Partner with word processing demands and proofreading group's work
  7. Maintain supply inventory and equipment, reorder, qualify vendors as well as business cards and nameplates
  8. Co-lead LEA SIG group for Word Processing

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading large organization word processing department
  • Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Capable of assessing opportunities for improvement, dealing with deadlines and multiple demands

Audit

QC/TECHNICAL REVIEW MANAGERS

Highly skilled audit specialist with strong SEC knowledge and experience, as well as thorough knowledge of GAAS and GAAP.

This individual will be a member of the firm's technical quality control group, assisting with final review of all workpapers, financial statements and audit reports. Must be meticulous with attention to detail.  This position has true growth potential within the firm.

  • Prepare individual, corporate and partnership returns with specialized knowledge of investment partnerships and hedge funds.

  • GoSystems experience a plus.

BUSINESS APPLICATIONS TRAINER

The Business Applications Trainer’s role is to deliver training to new hires and end users using a variety of software programs efficiently and effectively in support of business objectives. Additionally the trainer will actively be providing support to the end users on those business applications.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with training delivery related to software applications, application support and general Information Technology administration. The individual in this position will need to focus on executing diligent client service and must develop advanced knowledge of the organization’s software packages, processes and policies.  Specifically, applicants must have advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 2003, and Windows XP Professional.  Experience training or supporting applications specific to the Accounting industry is preferred. Previous work experience in a similar professional services organization or in a help desk supporting business applications a plus. Any experience with the following technologies while not necessary, would be favorable: Crystal Reports, Cognos, SQL, M.S. Office 2007, CRM , SharePoint and Application Design

Additional responsibilities to include:

  • Working closely with our Corporate Learning Manager on identifying training needs and designing support material, including audio-visual aids, computers presentations, manuals and workbooks
  • Designing, delivering, and improving in-house software application training programs and related courseware

Position Requirements

  • A BA/BS in Information Technology, MIS, CS or equivalent experience in the I.T. Field
  • Proven experience with learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitude
  • Ability to conduct research into course development and delivery concepts, as well as technical software issues
  • Highly self motivated and directed
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
