Adam Clark Joins Marcum as Assurance Services Partner
New York City, NY – Adam Clark, CPA, has joined Marcum LLP as a partner in the Technical Review & Quality Control group of the Firm’s Assurance Services Division. He will be based in the Melville, New York, office after relocating from Erie, Colorado.
Mr. Clark is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Firm’s assurance policies and procedures and compliance with regulatory guidelines. In addition, he provides guidance to Firm professionals on technical accounting and auditing matters.
Mr. Clark has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, internal controls, root cause analysis, and regulatory oversight. He has an in-depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and PCAOB auditing and related professional practice standards. His extensive experience spans multiple industries and technical areas, including oil and gas, manufacturing, retail, software, revenue recognition, and business combinations. He also has experience with foreign private issuers and IFRS.
Prior to joining Marcum, Mr. Clark was an associate director at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). He has prior experience at two “Big 4” public accounting firms as well as in the aerospace division of a Fortune 100 company.
Mr. Clark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Iowa.
