About Paul

Paul J. Graney is a partner in the State & Local Tax (SALT) practice of the Firm’s Boston office. Paul has more than 30 years of multistate tax experience with the government and in delivering state & local tax services to corporate enterprises.

Paul specializes in multistate corporate income, sales & use tax, meals tax, and personal income tax examinations and appeals. He has a strong focus on handling state tax controversy and developments throughout the New England area.

Paul joined the Firm in 2006. As the former tax director at a large, local multifaceted company, he was responsible for all facets of the company’s taxes. He also was the SALT practice leader at a large international firm. Earlier in his career, he was the chief of audit at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR). He was responsible for the field audit activities of over 650 auditors and administrative personnel.
