Stephen M. Gilman is a partner in the Firm’s Boston, Massachusetts office. He has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting, serving closely held businesses in the areas of accounting, taxation, and business planning.

Stephen’s focus is in residential and commercial real estate, including business and tax planning for partnerships, corporations, and individuals. He also has experience with residential property management software and its implementation. Stephen is deeply involved in entity formation and structure, code section 1031 tax free exchanges, cost segregation studies, and analyzing fixed asset additions and repairs.

He also assists high net worth individuals with trust, gift, and estate planning. Prior to joining Marcum, Stephen was a partner in a large regional accounting firm in New England.
