About Sunil

Sunil Jain is a partner in the Assurance Service division of the Firm’s San Francisco office. As a member of the Firm’s Capital Markets Group, Sunil has extensive experience working with clients involved in mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, capital financing transactions, and other assurance and compliance services. He also advises private companies going public on capital raising strategies, reverse mergers, initial public offerings, and the securities registration process.

He has more than 20 years of investment banking and assurance experience in the United States and abroad. He has worked with private and publicly held companies in variety of industries including oil & gas, information and technologies, biotechnology, and life sciences.

Sunil has contributed to the Firm’s newsletter SEC Insights. He writes articles on topics related to accounting of derivative liabilities, stock-based compensation and disclosure of executive compensation. Prior to joining the Firm in 2004, Sunil worked for a medium-sized public accounting practice, managing engagements in its assurance and business advisory groups. He assisted manufacturing, retail, and technology clients with implementing enterprise resource planning systems. Earlier in his career, he was recruited by India’s largest business house as a management associate within its corporate and investment bank. He worked in the areas of corporate finance and treasury and managed public offerings.
